What it is
Online Gerber Viewer is a free browser-based tool for opening and inspecting PCB Gerber files. It is built for electronics engineers, PCB designers, students, hardware teams, and manufacturing buyers who need a quick way to review fabrication outputs without installing a desktop CAM viewer.
The tool supports common Gerber layer files, Excellon drill files, and ZIP archives. You can load a fabrication package, toggle layers, inspect board artwork, measure distances, and check whether the exported files match the board you intended to send to production.
How it works
The viewer is a Next.js application using tracespace-based Gerber parsing and rendering in the browser. The privacy model is simple: your Gerber files are processed client-side and never leave your browser for normal viewing. No account is required, and the tool is intended to be useful for quick checks as well as repeated PCB review workflows.
Because the viewer runs in the browser, it is also easy to share as a reference tool. Teams can point designers, reviewers, or purchasing staff to the same viewer when they need to inspect a Gerber ZIP before requesting quotes or approving a release.
